Communication is key, but can it save your life as well?

We are all aware that communication is a core principle of leadership, but according to silencekills.com, it could potentially save your life.

The number that we used to throw around in the medical field was 1 in 5. 20% of patients will be the victim of a clerical error. Let’s assume that is true for a second (and it may very well be), what is the answer?

Would you believe communication?

And not just communication between you and your doctor, but communication amongst the staff as well. And not just on clerical errors, in simple carelessness too.

For additional information, you can visit the site, but let me leave you with a single number…

195,000

195,000 people die each year due to lack of communication in the healthcare industry.

Good, consistent communication can save your life.
