The Well Watered Dissonance

August 12th, 2011 · No Comments ·

The difference between marketing and product development, between entrepreneurs and technologists, between creatives and creators can be told in just one phrase.

Well watered.

Creators hear this phrase and think of specs, systems and development. How to get the water from the “well” to where it needs to be… like my lawn.

Creatives hear this phrase and think of all the ways to make their customer happy (or happier). A “well” watered lawn makes for a happy client, wife, life, etc.

Dissonance is disruptive.

Cognitive dissonance is growth.

Embrace cognitive dissonance.
