Long-Term Marketing Tactics

In my post on marketing, we discussed three critical marketing initiatives. The second listed was of the long-term variety.

What are the elements of long-term marketing?

  • Continuing Contact (e-mail distribution lists, rss feeds, widgets, etc.)
  • Website Content (analytics, architecture, blogs, mash-ups, podcasts, seo, tools, user-generated, etc.)

My definition of long-term would be execution and payoff in over 90 days.

At Gambit, we expect long-term initiatives to run between 1/10th and 1/5th of the overall marketing budget.
